Your data will be used solely for your safety and nothing else.
1. What Data Do We Collect?
When you register a QRakshak QR tag or use the QR Safety mobile app, we may collect the following information so that rescue and safety alerts are possible during an emergency.
- Account details: name, phone number, email, blood group (optional)
- Your emergency contacts (family / friends) and related permissions
- Location data (precise GPS / approximate): collected when you grant permission, including while the app is in use and — if you enable emergency or journey features — in the background
- Camera / photos and microphone / audio when you use QR scanning or emergency evidence capture
- Device identifiers and push notification tokens for alerts
- Aadhaar/ID is stored only with user consent
- Name, address, and payment details when placing an order
2. How We Use Location Data
The QR Safety app accesses and processes LOCATION data only for safety-related purposes after you grant permission in the system settings. We use location to:
- Send your live or last-known location with Emergency SOS alerts to your safety circle / emergency contacts
- Power Safe Journey / live location sharing while you travel
- Attach location to helper scan alerts (e.g. wrong parking, headlights, crash / found vehicle) so the owner can respond
- Support continuous safety monitoring features you explicitly enable (which may require background location)
Location may be shared with your designated emergency contacts and, where relevant, with the vehicle / QR owner when a helper scan creates an alert. We do not sell location data or use it for third-party advertising. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; some safety features will then stop working.
3. Your Data is Completely Safe
We understand how important privacy is. That's why no third-party scanning app sees your real Phone Number. We use a proxy cloud calling bridge. All communication is encrypted. We never sell or share your personal data for marketing.
4. Data Deletion
You can log in to your dashboard anytime and delete all your data with a single click. If you wish to cancel your QR, all records are immediately flushed from our backend database (Supabase). Permanently.
